RAFFAELLO COMPLETE!

On Friday, December 2, 2005, construction was completed on the brand-new R.C.S. (Radio Controlled Ship) Raffaello. Thanks to the help of the Michaelangelo Project website (see Raffaello Link) and a set of deck plans I own, she is a very acurate model of the real Raffaello if you consider my Ecstasy and Zuiderdam models.

Tommorrow, the Raffaello is set to begin her maiden voyage at Dobson Lake. Please turn to "Service Pictures" for future updates of the Raffaello's career. Enjoy!

Raffaello Construction nears end

The construction of the new R.C.S. Raffaello is finally reaching completion, one month after she was conceived.

Before the maiden voyage, I thought I'd give everyone an overview of her construction. I will reveal the overall appearance after the maiden voyage. Stay tuned....

Raffaello takes shape on paper

The first step to building the new Raffaello began on November 1, 2005, when I translated the deckplans, with a 1 inch= 10 feet scale, onto paper. This detailed drawing will make it possible for me to build the Raffaello exactly proportionate to the real ship. She will really be something to see.

The next construction update should come on November 5 or 6.
